Freezing on dbus related stuff when starting any distro (dualboot, win11 + linux)

whenever i decide to start linux it loads and eventually freezes on dbus related starting stuff, sometimes before loading dbus, sometimes after loading dbus. i have no idea what could be causing this and how its a 25% chance to boot up successfully. also the time doesnt synchronize when i boot into the other os.

same issue

ya got any idea what it could be? i have to unplug my battery from the laptop every time because i dont have a power button (it broke and the plastic fell off. the power button itself also doesnt work)

Clock issue happens on all x64 systems:

Any distro is a bit vague. Have you tried Fedora or Arch (those are the usually recommended ones). What is the kernel version (output of uname -a), thats usually what matters most and newer is generally better. Also how frozen is it? Does the loading just stop but they system still responds to input (caps lock on external keyboard, control alt delete, switching tty’s) or is it actually locked up?

the clock isnt really an issue. also i did try arch but not fedora. ill be able to send the kernel version sometime this week i think. it also freezes completely. no response, no blinking _. nothing. completely locked up

also i forgot to mention, the chromebook in question is an Acer Chromebook Spin 511 (Bobba360)
i also updated the mrchromebox firmware, but it didnt change anything.

if anyone needs a clearer image of it, ill be glad to make one. this image is the best i have atm.
im also mainly available on discord: 1fbw
if you have a response, send me a message / friend request or whatever so i know you responded. or just straight up respond there

Try adding loglevel=7 to your kernel parameters. and post another screenshot here of what you see when it freezes.

hmm… interesting. i tried booting it up 4 times with loglevel=7 instead of loglevel=3 and it didn’t freeze at all. im gonna try it a few more times to see if its fixing it or if its just randomly working 4 times in a row
also sorry for the delay. i had some technical issues and tried rooting a phone
