Fixed an edk2 issue with eMMC and/or SD card detection at boot

System Details

  • Device: Lenovo 500e Yoga gen4
  • OS: Ubuntu 26.04
  • Firmware Type: UEFI Full ROM]
  • Firmware Version: 2603.1
  • Internal storage type: eMMC
  • board: pujjo

Summary of the Issue

Unable to boot Ubuntu after installation.

UEFI does not find the internal eMMC.

Although the latest firmware states: “Fixed an edk2 issue with eMMC and/or SD card detection at boot.” this is not always the case.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. update firmware

  2. install ubuntu

it’s says “fixed an issue”, not “fixed every issue”

I have no idea why some PUJJO boards are having eMMC detection issues. I don’t have one myself, I can’t reproduce on similar ADL-N hardware I do have, and debug logs thus far have not provided any indication as to what the problem is

can I help?

Is there something I can do the help/fix the problem?

send me a PUJJO device with the problem?

think we can arrange something, can you send me a DM?
