Fedora firmware update causing boot issues

Hi, I currently using a Pixelbook Go (Atlas) that I converted to Linux last year. So far it has worked well, but Fedora recently pushed a “Secure Boot dbx Configuration Update” out. I tried to install and it failed, but at the same time, my computer screen began to flash and freeze. Every time I reboot the computer gets stuck with a scary flashing screen. Eventually, after turning it on and off, I can boot it, but it does this with every restart now and can take hours. The only thing I notice different when it’s already booted is that the screen subtly flickers.

I wonder if it’s a Chrultrabook issue because the same update installed fine on my other (Framework) Fedora laptop.

I tried doing the update from the terminal and was given an “invalid argument” error. I tried turning off secure boot, and that didn’t work either. Is there anything else I should try? I’ve considered just reinstalling the OS, but if it’s a firmware issue, that shouldn’t fix it, right?

Thanks for any help!

MrChromebox firmware doesn’t currently support updating the secure boot DBX separate from the firmware itself. The failure to do so via fwupd had no effect on the system.
