FAILED update: Swanky Baytrail

Hi, all.

I’ve emailed (> flashom) details of a failed firmware update, but am posting here, in case it helps others.

I attempted the update today, 12 Dec 24, on a Toshiba laptop that I’ve already changed from stock firmware, and have updated several times, in the past.

Can you tell me what you may need, to help troubleshoot this?

My machine:

System:

The command I used, today:

[chris@swanky ~]$ cd; curl -LO mrchromebox.tech/firmware-util.sh && sudo bash firmware-util.sh

Some of the output:

I hope this helps,

“some of the output” doesn’t help, the log is saved to /tmp/flashrom.log, please attach it here or upload to paste.flashrom.org

Thanks, @MrChromebox. That was meant to give a flavour of the messages; as I said above, “Can you tell me what you may need, to help troubleshoot this?”.

Thanks for confirming the pastebin, I’ll try to submit that now. Apologies for missing that in the error message output in the ChromeBook.

Chris

Well, I left the laptop on overnight, and some conscientious person turned off the power, at the wall. The laptop is now bricked…a job for the weekend :frowning:
