Encountering reset issue when attempting to run util firmware in VT2: Asus C202

When I go into VT-2 and enter the command in the “flashing firmware” section of the docs, the computer loads for a second and then seemingly restarts VT-2 with no indication that anything happened. I do not see an error message, I simply return to the developer console. Rebooting after this results in the device working normally.

I removed a screw in the board that I believe to be the write protect screw judging by how they looked on other Chromebook boards. if this issue is an indication that the device is still write protected, I might need to remove a different screw.

Looking for any information and/or advice and solving this issue. thank you

sure sounds like you’re trying to run a command in the login prompt. You have to log in to VT2 first, as per the instructions

you’re correct, that is what I was doing sorry. although im having a new issue now. whenever I try to enter a password on the console login I cant type any characters. I also dont know what the VT2 login is. Im sorry if this is somewhere in the documentation I wasnt able to find it in the firmware section

NVM I managed to figure out the login after I sent this comment sorry

just got OpenSUSE up and running, thanks so much for your work!
