Enable CCD on DELL 7410 Drallion

I just bought a chromebook DELL 7410 Drallion.
There are no physical buttons on the two sides of this machine. The power button is on the upper right side of the keyboard.
When enabling CCD, it told me to press the PP button.
I pressed the power button once and nothing happened. I pressed it twice and it shut down. I tried many times. I guess the power button is not the PP button.
Does anyone know what I should do?
Thank you.

Is the battery plugged in when you do this? I’ve noticed that if the battery is unplugged, sometimes it will shut down when attempting to open ccd)

It will ask you multiple times to assert physical presence, each time it asks I normally have to press the power button multiple times.

Not sure if this is still an issue for the OP, but I was having the same challenge and got around it by some combination of:

  • Plugging in/using AC power
  • Pressing the power button less frequently — every time a PP press (hehe…) is registered, you’ll get an “Additional key press will be required” message (or something like that) until finished. You’ll get a different message (every 1s, or so) telling you to press the button while it’s actively waiting for you to press the button. Press it once, and wait — only press again if it’s actively asking for it and then only after a hold period (I waited at least 15s between successive presses (except for maybe a couple at the beginning where I may have had to condense them to avoid the initial timeout)).
  • Ensure that powerd is stopped (the MOTD on the dev console mentioned how to do it).

I believe that disabling powerd prevented more aggressive reboot-on-successive-presses software functionality (that would otherwise make it impossible?), and slowing down the presses avoided lower-level firmware/hardware handling of the power button.

Once I succeeded, I never tried again, so it could also all be in my head.
