Driver issue in Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (R751TN)

Hello folks of chrultrabook, so I’ve installed Windows 10 on my Chromebook through a lot of trial and error but it worked out in the end. Now the problem is that some things like the Trackpad, Audio, and Touchscreen don’t work, I want at least the Trackpad and Audio to work on this, is there any hope and help?

I assume you’ve installed all the drivers in coolstar’s guide

Those all sound like the dptf driver may not be installed, could you make sure you’ve installed those and ran windows update (specifically optional updates)

In some cases, if it still doesn’t work, try windows 11. It often has better driver support

I haven’t actually because I wasn’t able to find anything related to Acer drivers for windows when I googled it and even used Bing.

Hi Folks,

I’m an Acer Spin 11 user (running Windows 10 Home) and since the very beginning of using the system I’ve faced the following issue with Coolstar’s audio driver.

When I installed it for the first time and used the laptop afterwards, the speaker sound was fine.

However, when shut it down and started up again, the speaker icon was appearing on the task bar as well as in the device manager but no sound was there.

When I reinstalled the driver, everything went back to normal. The point is, that I have to keep doing so every time I switch my Acer Spin back on to get the sound play.

My question is, do you know any workaround on how to get the Acer Spin working as normal, without this hassle-causing driver reinstallation?

Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks a million for your feedback.

Kind regards,

Piotr

Just to mention, I checked the device manager on my laptop and all devices seem to work properly (there is no yellow exclamation marking on any of these):

Therefore I would like to ask what can the reason be to the problem I described in my earlier mail and is there any workaround for it?
