Does this mean the drivers wont work at all?

I am not sure what patching the drivers would entail and I cant find anything about it

All drivers work except gpu, its not completely supported with linux properly.

Just get another chromebook, or if you have to use this one , use chrome os till updates are over, then return to this forum, stoney ridge is one big pain patching drivers for, picasso is another.

If you really want some other OS, use kde neon and run the audio script from weirdtreething’s github repo, and then go to manage audio devices, and select one of them and test, one must work, you also may not like kde wallet manager, so disable it before you connect to internet.

If you want help like how to disable kde wallet and small stuff, chatgpt it, when you are done, reply so I can tell you some more tweaks you NEED to do.

Have a nice day.

I ended up getting some kind of thing working. I used weirdtreethings patch. im on fedora with the treeya360 still rn but annoyed because i cant figure out how to update the kernel from the patched one without it breaking. I know there is some solution but im having trouble finding it. im really annoyed with weirdtreething. they seem to have a more proprietary approach to things and are very unwilling to help most people. i ended up trying to reverse engineer the patch for hours with no luck. ug
