I have an HP Chromebook - 14-db0023dx. I’ve had it for a few years, and it doesn’t have a warranty, but I was (kinda) inspired by Bringus to put Linux on my Chromebook, but I am not sure at all whether it is compatible. On cros.tech, it says the board name is “grunt”, but the codename is “careena”. The thing is, “grunt” doesn’t show up on the mrchromebox.tech website, but careena does. And to make it even more confusing, cros.tech groups my Chromebook (HP Chromebook - 14-db0023dx) with the HP Chromebook 14A G5, which is supported. So this is just really, really confusing.
Ignore model names and ignore what cros.tech tells you. Read mrchromebox.tech and follow the instructions to get your HWID. Then put that into the supported devices list.
