I was given an old Lenovo Chromebook recently and immediately hated the OS. I need it primarily for Linux and the dev mode is kinda terrible. So, I followed the guide on mrchromebox.tech to get it flashed with new firmware. I had a question about the jumper that was required to get the WP disabled. Once it is flashed, should I leave the jumper in place or remove it? The guide doesn’t really say whether there is any downside to leaving it in place.
FWIW, I tried with and without the jumper and I can’t tell if there is any difference. I’ll leave it off unless there is a reason to reinstall.
