Summary of the Issue
I am in the process of trying to disable the write protection on my Chromebook in order to install custom firmware and boot to Linux instead of ChromeOS. All I have done so far is to boot into developer mode and then disconnect the battery. After plugging the machine back into the wall, it will not power on. I have tried plugging the power brick into both USB-C ports, but nothing happens when I press the power button. The charging light is also not turning on after plugging it into the wall. Any ideas on how to fix this or what is causing it?
I was under the impression that I would need to both disconnect the battery and then use a suzyqable to disable write protection on this board. Is it possible to just do it through a suzyqable with the battery connected?
UPDATE
Just reconnected the battery cable and it is still not powering on. No idea what happened here.
Expected Behavior
Device should be powering on and booting into developer mode.
