I do believe It’s a shot in the dark after looking back but I thought I’d see if there might be a workaround.
CX1505CKA I realize is not specifically listed and supported but I did it anyway using the setup and installers for CX1500CKA, everything works besides WiFi.
am I out of luck or is there something I can do to get it functional.
It doesn’t have or I didn’t find drivers for network controller
Would an external WiFi adapter work without the controller having drivers?
Ethernet works so it’s not a total loss. Please let me know thanks
UPDATE - SOLVED ISSUE
Just bought a cheap wireless usb adapter and it’s all good. So if anyone else has the CX1505 and wants WiFi that has been the easiest fix I found.
that’s not a fix, just install the correct drivers.
you can easily figure out what is needed by looking at the hardware ID. Windows drivers 101
I did do that but couldn’t find where to download them, tried searching around on realtek but no luck. Realtek rtl8852ae driver, correct me if im wrong
plenty of drivers for that. tried using SDIO? Or just downloading from Lenovo?
I had never heard of SDIO, thanks that was an easy fix.
while you are active on this thread SDIO doesn’t have any drivers usable for Multimedia Audio Controller, would the only solution be to purchase the drivers from Coolstar
yes. if there were free drivers available that worked, coolstar wouldn’t have spent the time and effort writing custom ones
I appreciate your straightforwardness although it can come off a bit rude I know you must deal with a lot of annoying people on these support forums.
Thanks for the help
