CoolStar Intel IOM driver cannot start

  • Firmware Version: fresh from mrchrombox
  • Internal storage type: UFS

Summary of the Issue

I purchased the Coolbox Alderlake USB-C driver and downloaded/installed but in device manager the Intel IOM (Alder Lake) entry in the USB area is errored with STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

The Driver Manufacturer shows as CoolStar

Note it may have to do with the license system, while I have a “discounted” TCSS license, I cannot use it to generate the signed file - for whatever reason. I did purchase and register the Audio license.

Register error is “License does not match discount criteria” - does not make sense as its alder-lake-n

Pretty sure pujjoniru is covered under the discount so not sure whats going on.

Could someone please help?
