ASUS C214MA chromebook, it’s an AMPTON board under the GeminiLake family. I got the cable soldered by a professional who’s had 20+ years of soldering experience. Tried restarting, and flipping the cable, and neitherls /dev/ttyUSB* or ls ttyUSB work. Exact same thing happens on a mint live session and a dietpi session (Both Debian 13). I followed this tutorial with a slightly different board that still had all the necessary connections.
The electrical tape is there so it doesn’t short itself
