Hi, i have a problem with hp chromebook g7 14, the firmware UEFI correct flash, by script, then i install Windows on eemc, but i make changes in the advanced settings, disable tpm or other advanced option in the firmware, when save changes the Chromebook turn off screen, and don’t boot only feel overheatead, i extract the firmware from windbond with programmer 341a black 3.3v with the adapter 1.8 don’t detect, can this have a vp, and hwid, i flash a stock drawcia firmware without vpd and hwid, with the WP disable, but the result is the same, blackscreen and don’t boot, and only feel overheated. I use a neoprogrammer on other Windows device. Somebody tell me other option for recover.
yeah, you can’t do that when flashing a stock backup made by the script, since it’s not a full flash image. the instructions on my site are pretty clear on this. The stock backup from the script is just the “bios” region, not the whole flash chip. It’s missing the IFD, ME, and potentially other regions. which is why you have to flash it using flashrom and the --ifd -i bios parameters.
flash the full UEFI image using neoprogrammer (or flashrom). If it doesn’t boot, then it’s not a firmware issue.
