I de-soldered the 32GB eMMC (Samsung KLMBG2JENB-B041) and replaced it with a 128GB chip (Kingston EMMC128-TY29-5B111).
It doesn’t show up in the UEFI boot menu or Shell.

Does anyone know if I need to edit the firmware to allow it to recognise a different eMMC?
Does linux see it if you boot from usb?

I’m having the same issue, but my chromebook model is C340-15 (Nami).
The eMMC can be recognized in the boot menu before de-soldered the 32GB eMMC, but after replaced it with a 128GB chip. It doesn’t show up in the UEFI boot menu. Running MrChromeBox-4.22.2-5.
The new eMMC chip can be see in WinPE and can be written to Windows files. EFI partitions can be built however it also doesn’t show up in the UEFI boot menu.
