Change in device compatibility documentation

Recently I went through the trouble of working with the TREEYA chromebook. For a few days I tried making a custom linux kernel, but i couldn’t, but eventually found I didn’t need to. The documentation here says, for this and several other models, a kernel with amdgpu=m changed to =y, but it looks like earlier this year the linux kernel was fixed to where we don’t need to anymore. I tried it using the normal way with arch linux, and it works completely fine. If someone can confirm this or put a note in this section that would be great, as it would save other a lot of time and struggle. If anyone has any further questions I’ll happily try my best to answer.

the documentation tells you how to contribute / submit changes. Apparently no one has bothered for StoneyRidge
