Summary of the Issue

When i follow the guide and try to enable ccd, it doesnt tell me to press any buttons, but instead tells me “ Your device is finishing an update. This may take 1-2 minutes. Please do not turn off your device.” This pops up a few seconds after i typed in “gsctool -a -o” in the command line.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Boot chromebook with power button while pressing esc and refresh

  2. enabling dev mode

  3. booting dev mode

  4. pressing Strg, Alt and F2(back Arrow)

  5. Console/terminal pops up

  6. i log in as root

  7. i type in the command “gsctool -a -o”

  8. laptop turns black for a second and then displays: “Your device is finishing an update. This may take 1-2 minutes. Please do not turn off your device”

  9. device reboots and disables dev mode, and resets the device.

  10. after that to enable dev mode , i have to to throught the whole procedure again and wait like 5 mins.

  11. Already repeated my steps like 4 times, with the same outcome every time

Expected Behavior

A new screen should pop up that would tell me to press the pp(physical presence) button several times. In reality it never happens, even after trying it countless times.
