You need to install the license, and pull errors from device manager
can you dumb that down a little for my retarded ass? by install license do you mean activate windows 10? and what does pull errors from device manager mean? delete the unknown devices?
I’ve dealt with KIP and got the sound to work.
I believe with this hardware sometimes it is necessary to reboot the unit with the REFRESH-POWER reset sequence (hold down the REFRESH key then strike the POWER key).
I found that answer elsewhere on the web after installing the appropriate drivers from Coolstar’s website and still having no sound and being very frustrated.
My fuzzy understanding of this is that this special reboot key sequence does some cleaning/clearing/initializing of the firmware that can make the sound work (maybe, I’m guessing).
I didn’t believe it when I saw the advice because I’m thinking “how can this possibly affect the sound”, especially after I got the sound working in a Linux distro WITHOUT doing this special reboot.
But it worked, and I was stunned.
Maybe it’ll work for you.
If it doesn’t, I can look closer at it for you to see if I can still help.
I have a very specific set of steps I use to get everything working on these units on Windows and maybe if you replicate that it’ll work for you…dunnow…
Try this easy thing first.
