Recently I have tried to disable write protection on my x360 Chromebook. It says I need to use the CR50 battery method to disable the write protection so I followed This tutorial.Once I got to the point we’re you have to open up the Crosh terminal and use the command sudo sh it says
“ sudo: The "no new privileges" flag is set, which prevents sudo from running as root.
sudo: If sudo is running in a container, you may need to adjust the container configuration to disable the flag.
”
I don’t know if I am just not doing it right or maybe I need to use something like a debugcable?
That is because you are running (I believe) ChromeOS 117 or later. Because of that, they removed sudo from the Crosh terminal. You have to use the VT-2 terminal on login. (Control+Alt+ / Or what worked for me Control+Alt+Refresh)
I tried that and it worked perfectly tysm
