Boot error when loading the operating system

Hi, I’m new to the forum and I need help with a problem I’m having with my Acer 315 4H Chromebook. I want to install Zorin OS 17.3 and I used the Legacy RW script because it won’t let me use the one that completely removes the Chrome OS due to write protection. So I booted from a USB drive using Legacy RW and ran the OS installation. I selected “Install and erase all data,” and it installed fine, but when I turned it off and on again, it booted into Developer Mode. I selected “Return to normal mode,” but now when I try to boot into Zorin again, it won’t start, and neither will the original operating system. What can I do in this situation where neither operating system will boot, and I want to install Zorin?

English please

You can’t boot another OS in normal/non-developer mode. Exiting Developer mode was the wrong thing to do. You can try switching to it again but most likely you will have to reinstall ChromeOS first.

This is partially why the docs say that RW_LEGACY is to be used for dual booting, not replacing ChromeOS – it’s very easy to get into a situation where you have no bootable OS.
