Thank you for the reply. I also received my SuzyQ this week. Though I originally got the all clear from the firmware script, I followed the unbrick instructions to reinstall the UEFI firmware. While flashing, I thought it was odd that the “erase/write” phase only lasted for a few seconds. Since its a differential flash and because it lasted for such a short time, it is basically confirmed that the original script did not fail.
tldr: unbricking with the coreboot uefi did not solve the problem, still unresponsive as in OP.
After the failed unbrick, I restored the original rom saved during the script process, and all became well. I was back to stock.
I was then able to successfully flash the RW Legacy and begin to work on dual boot. I did eventually get this working, but since my model only had the emmc storage, I had to follow directions from another post here to create /boot and /boot/efi/ partitions on a USB stick.
What follows is what I believe are accurate roadblocks and findings from my experience with berknip (rev.5) 14b-na0010nr with emmc only.
- UEFI flashed successful, but will not power on and shows no sign of life other then charging / power indicator
- UEFI can be unbricked by SuzyQ, but only back to original stock fw
- RW_Legacy fw will also flash, but built-in keyboard and emmc storage are not visible in BIOS
- chrultrabook / crap does not work with emmc only
- Use USB stick and partitioning instructions from here to install OS for dual boot. !!! Note: I did not format the entire emmc, just resized the big partition in Ubuntu livecd.
- Bonus: Ubuntu 24.04 installs well, with audio working, and keyboard script working.
