Firstly, I’ve already run the script in the install documentation and pinned at the top of the Support/Linux topic. However, the script logged something about also needing to patch the kernel for audio to work on AMD Stoneyridge chromebooks. Looking on the forums, I’ve seen a few posts about similar issues but with much simpler fixes, notably this one which simply involves installing a new kernel. However, when I finally got the new kernel to appear in grub, it would just boot to a black screen.
I’m aware the best solution here would just be to patch the kernel, but frankly I’m not sure where to start with doing that. And if there’s a more straightforward approach to get audio working, I’d rather opt for that than to mess with my kernel.
My specs: HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE [Barla], Running latest Arch Linux w/ hyprland WM (also I used archinstall in order to configure most of the OS, don’t know if that changes anything)
