Backup/restore firmware

So if running menu option 1, RW_LEGACY Firmware (for running from USB), I don’t see where there is a prompt to backup the original firmware. From reading the mrchromebox.tech website it appears that a backup of the original firmware is when choosing UEFI.

Does the #1 RW_LEGACY Firmware require backup of the original? If one decides to do a Full Install to the drive then how does that work if one has already ran menu option #1.

no, because it’s not modifying any part of the firmware used for ChromeOS.

If you install the UEFI Full ROM after having installed RW_LEGACY, then your stock backup will have my RW_LEGACY in it. But that will get erased when you perform a ChromeOS USB recovery so it doesn’t matter.
