Audio is not working even after I ran the audio script and rebooted. Chromebook is Asus C434 Shyvana. In addition to that, some multi-touch features do not work. Scrolling with two fingers works fine, but right clicking does not work for some reason. And tap-to-click doesn’t work (where you can just lightly tap the trackpad and it clicks). Question, how do I attach the debugging file to this post?
mind telling me kernel version?
uname -r
6.8.5-301.fc40.x86_64
You should be able to Ctrl-V it into the text box
Here it is, sorry for the wait:
And also the Fedora XFCE 40 version I had was overheating really quickly. So rather than to mess with that I decided to instead install Fedora XFCE 41 (which IS supported by the audio script). After running the audio script, audio still doesn’t work, probably some stupid mistake of mine. The kernel version is the newest kernel, 6.11
I managed to get audio to work. I reinstalled alsa-utils and then went back to the audio output settings and in the configuration enabled pro audio. Funny thing is I went through the audio settings before but didn’t ever go to configuration because it wouldn’t show up on my screen and i didn’t bother to maximise it. Anyways thanks for the help, the trackpad issues remain for now, and let this serve as a notice to people to check the settings carefully before they make a stupid post like me.
