This is with on board audio jack

It says the active card profile for all devices is pro audio, when it should be Default. Try switching them to see if that fixes anything.

Ok

Sorry but how do you do this?

I don’t know if you can in gnome audio settings, but you can use pavucontrol instead.

So I installed pavucontrol using Flatpak and tried to use the jack. It did recognize the device, but I did not really hear anything. I heard a little pop and that was it. I made sure that the audio was maxed in settings and alsamixer.

I also checked to make sure the headphones work, and they do. I did not see anything about profiles or Pro Audio or Default in pavucontrol.

Go to the configuration tab and take a screenshot.

Sorry I got it

Thanks for the update. I updated and applied the audio script, then it works (the speakers).

Hmm, that all looks right. When you plug in headphones to the built in jack, does the device no longer say unplugged?

Yes

I cannot hear any audio, but when I unplug or plug in the device, I do hear the sound that plays when a device is connected to a jack.

Do 6.10 kernels help?

What do you mean?

I don’t know if I ever had a 6.10 kernel I haven’t paid attention.

So this is where I’m at: the laptop does not switch automatically. You have to switch it in settings, but even when you do, it still has no sound even though the volume is up all the way in alsamixer.
