Hi, I have Windows installed on my HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE (Snappy). I am looking for a way to get audio working without using the CoolStar driver installer, as I cannot afford the paid license. Is there any open-source or community-made driver available for the Snappy board that does not require a license? Thank you for your help.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Boot into Windows on the HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE (Snappy).

  2. Observe that there is no audio output device detected by the system.

  3. Seek an audio driver that does not rely on the CoolStar installer.

not sure why people keep asking this. Do you think the paid driver would exist if there were a free option available?

No other driver exists. Buy the driver, use USB/BT audio, or use Linux.
