Audio Code 10 on Lenovo ThinkPad C13 Yoga (Morpheus) - FW 2512.2

System Details

  • Device: Morpheus (Lenovo ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook)

  • OS: Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC (Build 19041)

  • Firmware Type: UEFI Full ROM (MrChromebox)

  • Firmware Version: MrChromebox-2512.2 (01/25/2026)

  • Internal storage type: NVMe

Summary of the Issue

After installing the csaudioacp3x (v1.0.4) driver for the AMD Picasso platform, the audio device CoolStar ACP Audio (WDM) fails to start and shows Code 10 in Device Manager. This causes all multimedia (YouTube, local video files) to freeze or hang upon starting.
Important Note: Bluetooth audio works perfectly fine. When Bluetooth headphones are connected, videos play without any freezing and the sound is clear. The issue only occurs when trying to use the built-in speakers/drivers.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Windows 10 LTSC on Lenovo C13 Yoga.

  2. Enable Test Mode (testsigning on).

  3. Install the csaudioacp3x.1.0.4 driver package.

  4. Reboot the system.

  5. Check Device Manager for the “CoolStar ACP Audio” status.

Expected Behavior

The driver should initialize the AMD Audio Co-Processor correctly, allowing audio output through internal speakers/headphones and enabling normal video playback without freezes.

I don’t understand why there are so many issues with people following the directions to register/install the license for the audio drivers. The paid drivers don’t work without a valid license installed. The Code 10 error literally tells you that.

I’m a bit confused now. In another thread here (link: https://forum.chrultrabook.com/t/which-audio-license-should-i-purchase-for-lenovo-c13-yoga-morpheus/8647), I was told that for the AMD Picasso platform (Morpheus), the ACP audio driver is not licensed and should be free.

However, I still have the Code 10 error with the csaudioacp3x (v1.0.4) driver on my Lenovo C13 Yoga. If it’s not a license issue, what else could be causing this?

I’m using:

  • Firmware: MrChromebox-2512.2 (2026-01-25)

  • OS: Windows 10 LTSC

Could you please clarify if Picasso really needs a license or if there is a technical conflict with this specific firmware version? Any help to resolve Code 10 would be great!

post a pic of what you’re seeing, the full error in Device Manager.

there is no conflict with that firmware version, it’s working here for me on Morphius on Win11 without testsigning.

I’m not a Windows dev, have nothing to do with these drivers - I just validate that everything works.
