Asus CX304 - Can't install Linux, hangs itself

Hi, so I had a successful flash to the UEFI full rom, however now when I try to install a Linux distro it hangs and can’t proceed, tried with 3 different distros, Fedora and Manjaro just hangs, Ubuntu at least didn’t hang but just spinned on forever but at least gave me the error info message below.

It doesn’t tell me anything but hopefully someone here knows what’s wrong, please do tell if you need more info.

Generic info:

Board name : marasov

CPU: 12th gen Intel Core i5-1235U

Laptop: Asus CX34 Chromebook Plus 16gb

WP Method : CR50

Sidenote: UEFi boot settings shows two Samsung options which I find odd? And if I go into boot from file I can find some options listed where I can navigate through the old ChromeOS files.

Sidenote2: The bootable usb disk is formatted as FAT on MacOS and GUID partition, then flashed with etcher. (Followed Ubuntus guide)

Some progress at least!

Only issue now seems to be that it can’t find my SSD. Any ideas anyone?

Really annoying that I can’t post multiple pictures per post.

This seems strange?

In the boot menu I can see 4 options listed, Samsung, Samsung 2, UEFI Shell and of course the USB.

Works fine with Fedora and new usb stick.

Consider this issue resolved.
