Hello all. so I assumed that my CX1505 (says dedede, awadoron) and the Asus CX1500 (Galith360) and the would be similar. Celeron N4500 CPU.
Disconnected battery, no luck
Purchased a GSC Debug Cable / Board
Side B works, shows 3 USB
Set Developer mode, enabled CCD
Disabled Write Protection (crossystem wpsw_cur shows 0)
Verified Cr50
Disabled Software Write Protection
gsctool shows: Y Always (on all)
Ran Firmware Utility:
Fw WP: Disabled
but #1 and #2 Install UEFI is greyed out , so not able to flash the firmware..
Anyone have any ideas? I can send some screen shots if needed.
Thanks in advance..
Usually, if the an option is grey, that symbolizes that your computer simply doesn’t support that option, but it says on the mrchromebox’s website that your device is supported. Is your Chromebook capable of running RW_LEGACY?
On Mrcrhromebox website it says the CX1500 and mine is a CX1505. Thinking its the same series
both options for RW_legacy and UEFI are greyed out
Here’s the GSC Tool information that showed good
I wonder if your device isn’t supported yet, as it would usually show the device name at the top, like in this picture:
Also, the model you have is not in a series, it would know your device and show you the model name. As you can see, mine is in a series, which is the Lenovo 300e/500e. Its also the 2nd revision.
The model name has no effect on whether your device is supported. Only the board name matters. Your board name is AWADORON, which is not currently supported. You’ll just have to wait for MrChromebox to add support.

Well that’s good news.. I mean I was hoping it would work but at least I know it wasn’t an issue with following the guides.. and I still got the GSC debug board in case I want to try again.
I’ll check back and see if it gets supported.
Thanks WeirdTreeTHing and 3r1ktech..
Sorry, I just assumed that since his model wasn’t showing up, it wasn’t supported. I’ll look at the supported devices list next time.
The GSC board will certainly help with testing firmware. There is always a chance of bricking something, especially with a newly supported device, and that will help you unbrick easily.
