Summary of the Issue
hello.
I have 2 CN62 mini chrome pcs. 1 looks like it has a custom bios or someone has tried installing linux. When a 16gb SSD is in it, it never tries to load chrome it loads a boot menu and has 5 options, boot from 1, boot from 2 etc. Each one you press crashes, lines just appear on the screen. I have tried changing bios settings to boot of usb (chrome os on usb) and it changes nothing. I have also tried another 16gb ssd out of the cn62 that works and it does the same. The other ssd loads chrome os in the other chromebox, this leads me to believe something is wrong with the bios.
How can I get chrome os back on it?
Steps to Reproduce
Expected Behavior
Load chrome os
boot Linux and update the firmware to the latest release.
boot ChromeOS flex from USB and install it. you’re booting the remnants of ChromeOS it appears
Hi
I have tried booting chrome os from a usb and it took me back to the menu.
I can not download flex for my device
I’m not sure what you mean. you can’t boot ChromeOS (proper) from the UEFI firmware. And ChromeOS flex isn’t “for your device”, it’s for any device. There’s just one image you download.
Where can i get flex from? Thankyou. I will try that
surely you can google that as well as I can, no?
I have googled it before. My pc model was not listed. I will try looking for model google chrome flex, just googled it now
New Chrome OS devices are going to be listed, you just download the generic flex image and use that as per the instructions
