you’re using the power button on the side of the device, right?
seems to be a common issue with this model, based on a quick search, with no good resolution
Two things I’ve noticed with CBs in general - 1) sometimes a CB will not boot into recovery if the battery is disconnected and 2) sometimes holding the recovery keys down for ~3-5 seconds works
Correct, on right side.
@Tayne I will try, but I think that I tried lot of cases …
any workaround ? I’m stucked
Thank you
flash the bios chip directly using a USB programmer and WSON-8 pogo-pin probe (not super fun).
FWIW, Flex isn’t a great option as the built-in speakers/mic/jack won’t work.
Thank you ! too complex … sorry
I found instructions on Google support and succeed to acces to recovery mode with actions below :
1- Turn on and wait 30 s.
2- Turn off
Repeat 1 & 2 for 20-25 times …
So, I installed ChromeOS Flex with your utility ( even if internal audio doesn’t work, I have an other Chromebook not AUE ).
But I have an issue to boot sometimes with message below :
“Booting from ‘ChromeOS Flex’ failed : verify if contains a 64-bit UEFI OS.”
I set “TPM 1.2 Configuration” to “Disabled, and Deactivated”.
I update this item with othe values, and boot happen …
could you know how solve this issue ?
Thank you !
why?
What is the value to set ? for “TPM”
I reaf that only some certified models support “TPM”
Sorry … resolved, I forgot SD Card in my laptop … ChromeOS Flex point to SD Card , oups !
generally speaking, if you don’t understand what an option does, and you’re not 100% sure it’s causing a problem, don’t change it
