Hi all,
Thank in advance for your support and apologize my bad english. Today I’m flashing my Aopen Mini 2.
Following steps that I did:
1 - open pc
2 - unplugged CR battery
3 - used a jumper pair for WP
4 - run flashrom --wp-disable
5 - reboot
6 - plugged CR battery, close the box and power on
7 - Run the script mrchromebox
8 - choosen option 2 for UEFI
9 - Backuped stock firmware
10 - Flashed terminated with no issue and reboot
11 - Waited around 20 min to boot without success
I verified display connection and seems work good but display was always in black screen (both HDMI and Display port). When ethernet LAN cable is connect seems that pc is running and trade packet of date from light. I tried too restore button without success. I don’t have SusyQ cable right now to reflash all.
Do you have any idea for issue?
the instructions explicitly tell you not to do 4) – why did you do so?
Not that it’s necessarily an issue (it would have been had you not rebooted first), but I’m always curious as to why people don’t follow very explicit instructions.
Without a SuzyQ cable, your only option is to reflash with a ch341a, assuming the device has a clippable flash chip. I’m completely unfamiliar with it so no idea.
Clear, I appreciate your answer. It was my mistake, I’m soldering an own susyq cable right now to trie reflashing all and restore. Thanks again to your answer, I’ll keep you all update.
Update, I’m finishing to soldering SusyQ Cable. I follow this istruction for this green board:
https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/629357/diy-chromebook-debug-cable-suzyqable-suzy-q-cable
Result 1: without bridge on GND and VVC
1- I plug ubuntu os and Mini 2 with susyQ (CR50 unplugged)
2- start Mini 2, always in black screen
3- from Ubuntu “ls /dev/ttyUSB*” to check works without success
Result 2: with bridge on GND and VVC
1- I plug ubuntu os and Mini 2 with susyQ (CR50 unplugged)
2- start Mini 2, always in black screen
3- from Ubuntu “ls /dev/ttyUSB*” to check works without success
I check soldering and I have 5V to power and all seems correctly soldered.
2 test same result. I can’t Enabling Closed Case Debugging (CCD) with black screen.
