Acer Spin 713-3w Voxel Audio cuts out when game launched

Hey,

I have an Acer Spin 713-3w Voxel. MrChromebox UEFI Full Firmware 2512.1 Release. Currently running CachyOS with LTS kernel and no other post install fixes added (ie, keyboard-map or USB-C fix)

I am experiencing an audio issue, sound seems to work fine until I launch a game, any game, then sound cuts out and the volume control lags and stutters. Once the game is closed the sound comes back after a short while, or after a reboot, and seems to work fine again.

I have tried several Distros (Fedora 43, PikaOS, EndeavourOS, CachyOS Default and LTS kernel, etc) all have that same audio issue when loading a game. I had no issues when on Fedora 42 updating to 43 a few weeks ago is where the issue started but I think I also ran the audio script after I upgraded. I hadn’t run the script for months before that. So, possibly some change in the script in that time? I did try reinstalling Fedora 42 today and still have the same audio bug using the current audio script.

Please forgive my ignorance in this, I can follow instructions but beyond that I’m not particularly proficient. I did run the debug script and have the logs. Please let me know which logs might be needed for an issue like this. I didn’t want to fill the screen with a wall of debug text that isnt needed,
Thanks

Update to say that running this fork on a clean install of CachyOS fixes the issue.

I am not super comfortable running a fork but posting this hoping it helps lead the way to whatever changed that may have caused the bug.
Thanks
