Acer Chromebook Spin 11 CP311 firmware checksum failed

When running the firmware utility script (Install/update UEFI (Full ROM) Firmware) as detailed on the mrchromebox site, I end up with the following error.

Downloading Full ROM firmware (coreboot_edk2-lava-mrchromebox_20240908.rom)

Firmware download checksum fail; download corrupted, cannot flash.

I have tried adding the -k flag when downloading the firmware utility, but still no luck.

Details:

Device: Acer Chromebook Spin 11 CP311
Board Name: LAVA
Platform: Intel ApolloLake
Fw Type: Stock ChromeOS w/RW_LEGACY
Fw Ver: Google_Coral.10068.96.0 (11/27/2018)
Fw WP: Disabled

the file exists on the server and has the correct checksum, the download simply failed for one reason or another and the script prevented you from flashing a bad file

I have tried the download multiple times, across multiple days, still the same result. Is there anything you can suggest I try? Thanks

the downloaded file and checksum end up in /tmp. check the file size, compare the checksum manually, etc
