So I have an Acer Chromebook Spin 511 R75TN and I bought the GSC debug board (Chromebook Debug Board / "SuzyQ" / "SuzyQable" adapter for Cr50 / Ti50 | eBay this one specifically) and when I tried to check ttyUSB, it outputted nothing and when I tried watch -n 1 ‘lsusb | grep -E “18d1:5014|18d1:504a”’ (which checks for the debug board every second) it also showed nothing. Can someone help me?
- What is the board name?
- Which USB cable are you using?
- Did you try all combinations of USB-C ports and orientations?
The board name is GSC Debug Board v4.1.0 (if your talking abt what my Chromebook thinks the name is then just know my Chromebook doesn’t even recognise the board) I’m using an Apple Type-C to Type-C and I have tried side a and side b on both ports
What is your Chromebook’s board name?
bobba360
- Is / was the Chromebook enrolled?
- Try using a USB-A to USB-C cable. Sometimes that works.
- Try using a different computer for the host side. Somtimes that works.
Nah it wasnt’t enrolled, I did try to use a USB-A to USB-C cable and it didn’t work and I have tried using a host computer and it didn’t work
Does the debug board look damaged?
No it looks fine and also my Chromebook indicates its charging if that helps
Oh I didn’t read your message correctly on the first one so yes it was enrolled but the school that provided the Chromebook removed the enrollment.
