I’m on Windows 11 on an Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3HT with MrChromebox UEFI Full ROM firmware. HW: Board/HWID: BLORB CPU: Intel Celeron N4020 / Gemini Lake Audio controller: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3198 Codec: Realtek ALC5682 Amplifier: Maxim MAX98357A Current audio devices: CoolStar HD Audio — OK Realtek ALC5682 I2S Audio — OK Maxim 98357A I2S Amplifier — OK CoolStar SOF Audio (WDM) — Code 10 / CM_PROB_FAILED_START I’m using the CoolStar sklhdaudbus driver and the extracted csaudiointcsof driver. The SOF driver matches the hardware CSAUDIO\ADSP&CTLR_VEN_8086&CTLR_DEV_3198 The SOF package is version 1.0.4.0 and contains sof-glk.ri The firmware file is in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\sof-glk.ri SHA-256: 054C7ABEDF89B20ADF195FAA14CA31D8C964E360FB5D5F8D9EE8E4596227C330 The driver installs successfully and csaudiointcsof.sys is signed by Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher. Though manually starting the driver service works: CsAudioIntcSOF → RUNNING, exit code 0. However, the PnP device still gets: CoolStar SOF Audio (WDM) → CM_PROB_FAILED_START SetupAPI reports: Problem: 0xA Problem Status: 0xC000026A The CoolStar HD Audio parent bus starts successfully. I’ve also installed the RT5682 and MAX98357A drivers and both devices report OK. I’m looking for help figuring out why the Gemini Lake DSP itself isn’t completing initialization. I’m looking for a free/open solution since this is more of a project and I prefer not spending money on it. Any ideas what I should look into?

Thanks. I understand. Since the hardware and SOF package are loading but the Gemini Lake DSP fails with 0xC000026A, is there any documentation or existing open-source project you would recommend studying for the Windows-side Gemini Lake SOF implementation?

can’t help you there, not my area of expertise.

SoF is working fine here on my GLK test device, so your issue is almost certainly either specific to your install or a result of not having the driver license installed
