Windows 11 install cannot find SSD - Need storage drivers for ThinkPad Yoga c13 Chromebook

Hi everyone,

I am trying to install Windows on my AMD-based Chromebook, but I am stuck at the “Where do you want to install Windows?” screen. No drives are showing up.

I know I need to load the storage/NVMe controller drivers for the Windows installer to see my SSD, but I am having a lot of trouble finding or extracting working drivers using my Chromebook.

My questions:

1. Where can I find a download of the storage drivers (NVMe/RAID) that are confirmed to work with AMD Chromebooks during Windows setup?

2. Is there a specific way to prepare these drivers on a USB stick so the Windows installer will recognize them?

3. If anyone has a direct link to the extracted driver files (not the .exe installer), that would be a huge help.

My setup:

• Chromebook Model: ThinkPad Yoga c13 Chromebook

• Board: Abyss

• CPU: AMD 5 3500c

Any help or links to the right drivers would be greatly appreciated!

no, you need to use correctly created install media, There are no drivers necessary. This problem comes up weekly if not more.
