Usb c hdmi not working lenovo 100e 2nd gen

Hello guys

Recently I’ve ported my Chromebook to win11 using Mr Chromebox and now I can not use a USB C dongle to connect the laptop to a tv or projector. Is there a way to make it work?

Lenovo 100e 2nd gen - Phaser (board name)

does it work from Linux using a live USB?

If not, the VBT may need to be modified to enable USB-C AltMode output

How can I modify the VBT so I can use it with windows and connect it to a tv?

You can’t, it requires using a non-public tool from Intel

I haven’t checked with live Linux from USB. What if it works on Linux, is there a way to make it work on Windows too?

no idea, that potentially means it’s something other than the VBT. I’ll take a look at it either way
