Problems with USB-C

Asus Chromebook cx34.
After converting and installing audio driver everything works wonderfully exept USB-C. After downloading drivers and following procedures, I still cannot use USB-C.
In the event manager files “Chromebook EC Bus and Intel PMC” are missing.

Has anyone any idea on how to fix this.

Did you use the Thunderbolt 4 drivers? Some Intel models don’t have Type C support, and without the driver, it doesn’t work.

Thanks 3r1ktech,
Yes, indeed I did install the Thunderbolt 4 drivers, hoping this would solve USB-C recognition. It didn’t solve the issue.
So there I am, still without USB-C.

Im not sure then. Maybe you downloaded the wrong driver, because im pretty sure that should have fixed it.

Another reply, I didn’t notice that you posted the logs. You probably need to install the Chrome EC drivers.

I have a Alderlake-N (similar platform that yours), and checking the usb c port only works if the device is connected to chromebook before of turn on. I’m not sure if display port works with same behavior because not have the adapter to test.

My Gemini Lake Chromebook work perfectly fine. Are you using Linux or Windows?

After serveral attempts installing everything a number of times I found out that you are right. USB-C works is only recognized when it is connected before upstart. Thanks, Taz.
I also had recurrent problems installing Chrome EC drivers as described. I found out that I had to copy it in root c: and install it from there. The same goes for the intel chipset drivers.
