MORPHIUS won't boot Arch. only black screen then reboots

I’m very confused here. I used the full uefi thingy, and i put the newest arch on some 64gb USB drive. I boot off there, selected Arch installation medium or something, and it just reboots back. What should i do??

Arch has an extensive wiki and forums, I’d start there, assuming you are able to boot another distro (like ubuntu)

Ok, i’ll try ubuntu. Haven’t tried that yet

Have you tried the Gentoo livegui iso? I’m not sure about you, but the livegui install media worked out of the box on my Morphius. If it worked for me I don’t see why it wouldn’t for you? Ubuntu might work too, as well as maybe Linux Mint.

I’m gonna try later once i’m at home

UPDATE: Ubuntu acts the same. Just, i see GRUB now. I select try or install Ubuntu, simply reboots. USB drive is a known good one, because i just tried it on my Windows Thinkpad and it boots to Ubuntu desktop just fine

Maybe try editing the grub boot parameters and add “iommu=pt”, I didn;t have to do that with mine, but the install guide did mention you might need to.

Which install guide? Still doesn’t work. Put it after the — quiet splash thing

the chrultrabook install guide, more specifically the compatiblity guide

Yay thanks! I put it BEFORE the “splash”, so —quiet iommu=pt splash and now it boots. Thanks again Alex “DeezNuts420”!
