I already said to just delete the stable_device_number

So just straight up remove the whole number but I want to have dev mode enabled
Once you have changed the serial number, you will need to boot the Chromebook, powerwash or recover, then when you connect to wifi to log in, dev mode will be enabled
But like do I need to fully delete the number or do I have to change it

DELETE the STABLE_DEVICE_SECRET (o ignore it because this only affects enrolling the device later)
Don’t use a hex editor. Use the proper tools instead (vpd).
