Hello all! I just followed the guide on mrchromebox.tech and installed Coreboot so that I could install Gentoo Linux on my Chromebook. Upon flashing, the device rebooted to coreboot saying there is no drive to boot from, which makes sense since ChromeOS would’ve been the only thing on the eMMC. At this point I went and plugged the battery back in, let it charge for a bit, and came back to it not turning on at all. I disconnected the battery, and now it just boot loops, briefly showing the coreboot logo, then immediately restarting with the orange light on the side flashing. Plugging the battery back in causes the device to no longer boot, it only tries to start up without the battery plugged in. Does anyone have any tips to fix this or know things I should try?
Use a more normal linux distro, they are getting better at supporting chromebooks
