Hi everyone,
I’m running an Asus Chromebox 4 (Duffy) with 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz SODIMM RAM, but Windows Task Manager shows the memory speed is only 2667 MHz.
Details:
-
Device: Asus Chromebox 4 (Duffy)
-
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz (2x8GB)
-
Reported speed: 2667 MHz
-
Slots used: 2 of 2
-
No visible XMP option in BIOS
I’m wondering:
-
Is the RAM speed limited by the CPU or chipset on the Chromebox 4?
-
Does Duffy/coreboot support XMP at all?
-
Is there any way (BIOS mod, coreboot setting, etc.) to run the RAM at full 3200 MHz?
-
Or is 2667 MHz the hard limit for this platform?
I’d like to get the full 3200 MHz if possible, but I’m not sure if this is just a platform limitation.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
