Going down this rabbit-hole of ChromeOS and devices - currently acquired an Aopen Chromebox Commercial 2 (JAX) with the sole idea of reloading it with Batocera. After checking the supported devices page on mrchromebox.tech, I went ahead and made the purchase and finally got around to tinkering with it this week.
Opened the system up and noticed that the write-protect screw has already been removed. It looks like the only option I have to disable write protect on this system is with a SuzyQable. The device itself does not have any USB C ports, can I use an adapter with the debug board? Is disabling write protection possible using the management port on this device? Found dead ends on reddit, thought I’d post here to see if anyone came across this issue or has better answers.
