hello! i was to restore chromebook plus on a ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5601) and i get (a factory error has been detected) plus i before use the backup option but i kinda missing or just deleted them and im unsure if its HWID related…

the error literally says this is caused by an invalid HWID.

This is what happens when you don’t restore from your own backup, because there is no HWID in the firmware image extracted from a recovery image/USB

How would you fix it then as i have the same issue?

do you have your original stock firmware backed up on USB still?

If not, best you can do is try to find another valid HWID for FELWINTER and set your device to that, and hope it doesn’t break anything.
